Hello all, I am new to these forums, so please don't be too hard :) I am currently stationed in Kuwait with the US army in support of OIF and OEF. I have long been a BF2 fan, and have played since the game came out, but have just recently gotten interested in mapping. A few of the guys in the office and I recently got a copy of Bryce 5.5, and got an idea to make a 3d render of our camp, and that gave me the idea to try and make a map of the camp for bf2 to play in.
Our camp is almost completely flat, except for the sand berm surrounding it. We have alot of tents, small buildings, etc. A central water tower, an airfield, and vehicle motor pools. most of the vehicles in BF2 we have here (Cobras, m1A1 tanks, humvee's etc. We also have blackhawks, bradleys, light, medium, and heavy cargo trucks, and chinooks, but those are besides the point. I was wondering how hard it would be to make a map for BF2 to play in that would closely approximate our camp? If someone would be interested in helping achieve this, I have aerial photos of our camp, and I can get pictures of buildings for textures. I am just wondering how hard this would be?
Thanks in advance. If anyone has any advice, I can be reached at evan.richardson@us.army.mil or evan@modelxposure.com....as well as here.
Thanks again
Sincerely,
PFC Richardson
