Hey, I have a O.K powersupply for my video card but it is not the best, So i was just wondering to cool my video card down can i open my case side panel and put a small fan right next to it (you know the ones you plug in the wall). I wanted to ask because if there is something wrong with it i will stop. I am not worrying about dust because i clean it daily. But i am not going to keep it open all the time, just for intense games like bf2. Is it ok to do that?

By putting that fan next to it it cools it down soooooooo much.

Nothing wrong with it..I've done it myself.

The only problem is that it can actually DECREASE air flow through your case...

i keep my open with a fan inside to cool..and it keeps my temps around 35C with a fan on it.

Decreasing the flow of air just means less efficient cooling..the effect of having the fan pointing in should offset it.

The main point is: don't just open your case .. your temps may actually go UP

Case off since you are blowing a fan in.

If you weren't pointing a fan in, then I say 'leave case on'.
