    SLI Problem

I just recently finished my dream PC and installed BF2 and updated...blah blah blah

i joined a and PC crashed.

Did the same and PC crashed again.

Called a friend and he suggested disabling SLI. So I did.

I joined a server and connected first try. Game looks sick.....EVEN ON ONE! 7800GTX.

SO...I cannot as of now use my dual 7800GTX when in BF2.

Is there a known bug/fix for this issue?

    Thanks

    Re: SLI Problem

Is BF2 the only thing your having trouble with? Have you tried any other games/benchmarking apps?

Ya I was having problems with my 7800GS and found that I wasn't the only one. Someone suggested this http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=nvidia it's a tweaked verison of the Nvidia Drivers and fixed my problems.

well first off, that card is AGP, which means you cant have SLi, so basically your idea wont help with his problem.

I suggest, uninstalling your drivers, and reinstalling them and enabling SLi.

ALSO; make sure that your second card is pushed into the PCIe slot ALL OF THE WAY, and that it is connected to power (from a good PSU, with a PCIe chord going into it). so make sure your hard ware is in correct etc... and the SLi bridge is on too.

if worse comes to worse it is a mobo problem or a bad video card.

          Re: SLI Problem

ok. maybe i should have been clearer so im sorry for that.

My PC runs just fine on any other game. SLI works for WoW, CS:S, and everything else. My ONLY problem with SLI is i cant open BF2. I have to disable SLI and just run on one 7800 GTX. BF2 is the ONLY application/game this happens.

So i was just curious if this was a known problem or not. ive read a few posts hinting at the fact that BF2 doesnt support SLI....im not sure of the truth to this.

          thanks for the help

            Re: SLI Problem

BF2 runs perfectly on my SLi. now, I get much better FPS with SLi on. people like jofaba seem to have issues with it,but that is in other games as well.

I suggest uninstalling your drivers, using driver cleaner to make sure they are gone and reinstalling them. it is most likealy a driver problem it seems.
