Are there any heli pilots / gunners who aren't ****tards out there?

Well I've been practicing flying helis for a week on single player after getting bored of karkand. I decided to go online today and fly a bit in Sharqi.

I manage to get the US helicopter pilot and I fly around, kill some people, and then I crash due to one of EA's numerous lame glitches. Then my gunner starts saying "You are the worst ****in pilot" and I get TK'd when i spawn again.

Next round:
I get M95'd out of teh gunner seat so I take a vodnik and shoot them both down and walk off.

Next round:
I get into gunner again, the pilot starts yelling "Get the **** out of my heli" and then procedes to crash it.

Seriously, are there any heli pilots / gunners who aren't ****in assholes?

well maybe if you didnt crash, and kill your gunner in the first place, you could have spared us the trouble of reading this thread

I'm one! I try to be the friendliest/most helpful/best teammate I can be. That IS unless someone pulls stupid crap such as TKing, baseraping (more worse, spawncamping), or taking a transport vehicle alone (BIGGEST PET PEEVE EVER!!!!) But, what REALLY gets me riled (sp?) up is when a pilot takes you to the punish zone and gets you killed. Thats immature, rude, and selfish.

But, if you ever want a good gunner and a friendly/helpful pilot (not the best pilot tho :cry: ) I'm here

Well there's this lame glitch that causes your screen to spin at teh sky... annoying on ground where you have your crosshair aimed at someone's head and you're just about to fire, but when your in the sky your heli goes crazy and it's nearly impossible to pull back

I ususally forgive pilot crash their accidentally but not stupidity
i.e. Take off and crash in a minute to the ground/ water....and this usually happens in lower ranked player...

And I never forgive gunner for:
-use their chain gun approach to enemy's chopper instead of TV missile..
- Chain gun on tanks/APC....
- lining up for him (In front of him and he is not doing anything..)

Learn to fly in Single-Player or create a Local Server before taking your dreams of flight to ranked servers. ;-)

PS. Your optical mouse sucks: get a mechanical mouse, joystick or fix your playing surface.

Hehe, I had a round where I picked up a gunner who was obviously an utter noob (he was trying to chaingun blackhawks at long rang 'n stuff). I managed to get him to join my squad so I could talk to him via voice and taught him how to gun properly. By the end of the round, he'd managed to TVG a couple 'hawks and the enemy cobra. I had the whole thing on BR and was going to make a vid... but then a patch came out.

I've been practicing for a week and I'm sick of killing comps... just ended a game yesturday on single player 56 - 3 on expert level...

And no I'm not buying any more crap I already had to spend $500 to get my comp to be able to run Bf2.

Should I switch for a wheel mouse instead of a laser one? Cause this screen spinning thing is really driving me mad..

Well I must admit, I absolutely hate idiots who decide to shoot at tanks with the machine gun. I go crazy when they're stupid enough to not use the TV missile, and I usually end up calling them dirty names or tking them due to my frustration.

Actually, I get this once in a while. I noticed that ever since patch 1.3 I've been losing occasional packets, causing intermitten lag spikes for about a second. In that second, however, my helo will bank into a tree and the gunner thinks I dropped my chew toy. Even if I explain to him that it was lag, he's already typing "yeah, right. you suck. get off 56k. I'm a $@%#ing jerkwad." (That last part may or may not have been added by me.)

The point is that BF2's stability lately is causing more headaches than necessary, and the magical Hardware List of Inifinite BF2 Stability Goodness hasn't been published yet.

The numbers are your ranked helo stats: not particularly convincing or confidence inspiring, to say the least. I don't mean this as an insult... just food for thought.

I highly suggest observing successful (ie. top) pilots in order to better understand how to properly fly the helos. That, or create a local server to practice flying in, over, under and around objects: this way, you will get to know the chopper's limitations and better understand how specific moves are performed and chained together.


Oh... and a simple mechanical mouse would cost you 20-25$ and you would never suffer the odd "spin". That's not much to pay for stability if you ask me.

I had a real n00b helo pilot the last round I played. He was like 5 feet off the ground & kept telling me to use the TV missile. So I did just to prove the point. Then he punishes me for the TK. :laugh:

I just got my Veteran Helo the otherday. I have been playing the same server for three months, so you get to know the regulars and it's easy to find people to gun that know what they are doing. Occasionaly you get a guy who MG's apc/tanks, then I just go into rocket mode and work on LD rocket shots on moving ground targets.

Yea like I just said I only really started playing in attack helos. All the other numbers were riding in BH's on wake / mashtuur.

Are mechanical mouse's the wheeled ones? Cause I have one of those but I thought the laser ones were better.

Haven't yet found a pilot who gave me a CHANCE to use the TV... all of them insist on going on rocket runs on every single tank.
