crazy siging in load times

ok lately when ive been trying to sign into my account i have been waiting a couple of minutes and i have no clue what it is i know its not my internet connection because my bro logs in and never has to wait as long as i do so if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to put them down

Try deleting all of the 'GeneralSettings.addServerHistory' lines in your profile's general.con file.

Edit your general.con file with Windows' notepad.
C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\My Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\<Your Profile Number>\general.con

Remove all lines starting with 'GeneralSettings.addServerHistory'

Either that or delete the general.con file altogether.

When you log in, BF2 gets info from ALL the servers you have visited before. This shortens login time CONSIDERABLY!

BF2 keeps track of those servers in the general.con file.

Make sense?

this usually works really well. infact I usually clear out that file daily.

..and somebody made an app called BF2Cleaner also for this purpose

Yes, it WILL remove your favourites..that is the drawback.
