Simple C4 question

Recently I've been trying out Spec Ops more, I'm still fairly new to the game and still rather sucky. :p

My question, most likely a very obvious answer, but earlier I was C4-ing a tank and it occured to me there must be a way to detonate a couple of C4 instead of loading a full lot of C4 onto something just to get the detonator. Plus, it's a waste of C4 when you don't need it all.

I'm guessing you can bind a button in controls or maybe it's already bound to a number, but hey, I figured you guys would know, and at the time I was concentrating on getting it all on the tank! :p

Press right mouse to get the detonator out.

Yeah, it's kind of sad that you can't get a quick, simple answer to a quick, simple question and people will take twice as long to just flame you out without even answering.

There is a bug however with the game whereby you throw another piece of C4 when you try and detonate it. Doesn't happen always, but it always seems to happen when you need to use the C4 the most. All you need is 2 bicks of C4 to blow a tank, or most anything for that fact. The bug dosn't seem to effect 2 pieces of C4.

Yeah I've seen a bug like this, where you try to switch to your detonator but your pack comes back out.

When the pack comes out, that is really your detonator. It's just the glitch. Then when you click, you will throw that C4 and the other C4 will detonate..thats like a "dummy C4".. its not real.. just an animation glitch. It disappears after you get your C4 out again.

Not even a pack on the tracks kills a tank
