Strange yet AWESOME Quirk

I've been using 1024x768 res with all low settings, 100% view distance as long as I can remember, and I had a little lag/choppiness.

However, tonight I wanted to see what high settings on 1280x1024 looked like. Let me first say, AMAZING :E :evil:

Now the best part... I RUN FASTER ON THESE SETTINGS WITH ZERO LAG/CHOPPINESS!!!

Best quirk EVER!

(Anyone have an explanation? :laugh: )

Well, depending on you PC's stats...you were probably making it work harder to run that slow, than to run fast, as it was intended....if your PC is slow...then, well...guess you got lucky

I just tried out the settings in SF. I get a good amount of choppiness but I think thats normal for SF.

Is there a way to have seperate video settings for Vanilla and SF?

I dont have SF, but I'm going to say probably not, since you open the same general BF program to run both (the way I understand) so the settings will probably accept one setting

SF and vanille have different settings. In BF2, I have my audio set to where I can hear the guys on VIOP and TS easier when in vehicles, in SF I have effects set to be louder because I am not in vehicles much. Pretty sure that since they use different paths to start, they can use different video settings as well I use the same fo both, and am not at my computer, so I cna't check. You could always change the settings in one, and then run both back to back and see for yourself..
