practice single player @ expert until you get a 100-1 ratio... you'll get used to the weapons and ppl will start calling a haker... -_-

I went off as a sniper to begin with, so i could watch the action from afar without getting slaughtered. At least i learnt how the maps went and where people were going to magically appear from.
I still suck though.

Hi

I used to play BF1942 alot and was really good at it but i am terrible at BF2. I can't seem to kill many and i get killed hell of alot. What is the best way to get better:

Practice on single player?
Practice on a server with just me?
Practice in multiplayer? (and risk annoying my team)
Give up - haha pls dont say this one!

Any other advice would be much appreciated. I just spent £160 updating my graphics card to play this and i would like to get alot better at it.

I started directly playing the multuplayer. Why not earning some points and awards right away, even if they are few only. Stick to the ground at the beginning because pilots really get anoyed when you take their aircraft and crash it right away. If nobody is using the aircrafts, then take them and practise flying.
