Spectator exploit, sort of

After you die you can bring up the spawn menu and click the X on the map and then press spacebar to free look around the map. I never realized how bad of an exploit this was until one day a squad was sniping our carrier and I decided to freelook to find the sneaky bastards. Needless to say I respawned with my crosshairs dead set on the now dead snipers. I imagine the first guy screamed "hacks!" at the top of his lungs when he saw me spawn and kill him so quickly!

I could see this getting out of hand and becoming abused like squadhopping in the not too distant future. I'm expecting the typical "exploit proponents who don't want the game changed" to pop up in here after I hit submit.

I think it's been around since BF1942. At least the death cam has.

Freecam is what you are talking about and has been around since 42. 9.9/10 servers don't run freecam for that reason but its an either or. Either you run free cam or chase view. If its chase view only then you would need to switch teams, find where they are and then switch back again getting a -2 each time you switch I don't think its a problem.
