Re: wanna play?
Im sure you can do it somehow...It was just last night that I was looking around the servers and I saw a couple of servers with "SinglePlayer" under game type instead of "Conquest".

Re: wanna play?
some guy wrote this, and it gave me the whole idea
Got news for all of you. You can play Co-Op RIGHT NOW!!! Here is how:
1. Find out what your external IP is.
2. If your using a firewall router make sure you allow port 16567 to be forwarded to your internal IP address.
3. If your using firewall software, make sure you allow BF2.exe to act as a server on port 16567.
4. Start up BF2 and launch single player (karkand is a good test map)
5. Wait for it to load completly and then join game.
Important: Do not tell others to join untill you have joined.
6. Other players can now join in by selecting multi-player and entering your IP address.
Using the Single Player Bot Changer, we have had 24 to 32 bots set at 100% skill (expert) and 8 to 10 humans join in on my PC and play co-op (8 humans+8 bots vs 16 bots)
Drawbacks:
1. Not Ranked
2. No unlocks
3. Only the 16 player sized maps available (unless everyone uses the SP64 mod)
4. Bots can be stupid as they always follow the pre-defined paths on the maps.
5. You need a pretty fast PC and internet connection. (Mine is a AMD Athlon 64 with 2gb and a 15mbs / 2mbs RoadRunner Cable connection, 3x faster than standard cable modem)
Advantages:
1. Bots set at 100% (expert) amost never miss and provide a good training opponent. (Bots in tank know exactly where to shoot your tank or apc for that rare 1 shot kill! Keeps you on your toes!)
2. Bot medics will try and revive you if your killed and give you ammo and med packs if asked.
3. Bot commanders will drop supplies, arty or a UAV EXACTLY where you want them.
4. Bots under your command follow orders!
5. EVen though the computer tries to autobalance it will move bots to the other team before humans and lets you join either side.
We have used this as a training tool and found it worked good!
Try it out, any questions can be e-mailed to me at korg@tampabay.rr.com
