    agreed. i've been in the same boat lately--I stink at flying but am trying to get better. Even bought a new (used) joystick that may (or may not) work. here's my new baby:

    but yeah, practicing on empty servers is a good way to start, and not to be charged suicides for crashing, not to eff with your k/d ratio, etc.

    but for learning how to shoot and how to run, and when to shoot and when to run, and where to shoot and where to run, I'd have to say that you just have to work on it.

    what are you using for a view? i just "discovered" that when you hit "c" once after you jump in your plane/helo, everything get's easier by a factor of about 2--aiming, spotting, manouvering--the works!

    also, i have been flying as gunner a lot more lately, and i've noticed that exceptionally good helo pilots are very, very cautious and stay well away from the most intense action, choosing instead to let the guided missiles do the work, and then chasing down the buggies and transports.
