FarCry: Which difficulty level should I play?

I'm asking because I read so many complains about the high difficulty of the game even at EASY. The fact, that you cannot quick-save at any point in time is probably not helping.

Which level do you recommend me to play: easy, medium, ....

It depends I played it on easy at first, it is quite hard its not a game you can run in a loose health and big deal, you have to survive, thats the point, its more of a survival fps. Try it on easy its a great game btw.

try easy first.
but do try it on the most difficult, it is quite challenging and fun. since you have to meter out each shot, and be cunning when approaching a mass of foes, especially since all of them usually come at you at once.

nope, it just takes more patience trying to separate enemies from the pack, slowly but surely.

Far Cry locks my comp up ever 5 minutes

when i first got it i played a while before patching, and the patch helped tremendously.

yeah, i read that the patch actually helped the parsing of textures, which could be your problem. also try every thing on low settings. if that works raise each setting one at a time.

Makes them wheather or not they are smart or dumb?

It adjusts the enemies AI depending on how well your doing. If you keep getting killed it lowers the AI, if you go for ages without dying then it cranks it up.

i had that one with medium difficulty and it was a really enjoyable game... still lives on my drive actually. you just dont get those wire open islan spaces on any other game at the moment.
