24/7 servers

Something I never understood...

WHy are there 24/7 servers with like 2 rounds per map? If its the same map why can't they make it 1000 rounds per map or something.

where does that logic come into play. the round ends the medals are awarded and the map count decreases by one. 999 more maps to go before the server loads up again

it gives medals at the end of the set number of rounds

If you have 1000 rounds then there will be 1000 matches. At the end of each match if the same guy won a gold, silver or bronze medal he would have 1000 medals in total.

No it gives them out at the end of every round, it just doesn't show them like it does when the server is reloading. Next time before you click the join button, click on the diffrent tabs at the top left and you will see who got the medals for that round.

If the maps arnt reloaded periodically they start to lag.
