Re: Alternative to fraps
u cant get proper 1st person using a demo launched with battlelauncher (showing arms and weapon)... but u can get a psuedo first person angle - the default distance when looked on a player is just a few metres behind them - so just zoom in through their head til its like looking with their eyes.
I have looked for a better replacement in real-time capture for FRAPS and failed - ive tried several alternatives and the quality is not even close.
But interesting you really need better quality - i use FRAPS on normal size with no compression and get graphic reproduction almost exactly the same as my in-game graphics...

There is no way to dump your video card's output into a video file that does not require a big chunk of RAM.Originally posted by BlitzWarTankhmm, will it be like fraps which needs a tons of ram?
None.
Short of a revolutionary breakthrough in programming, there likely never will be.

One method here is to enable multiple montors, and use the 'clone' option. Just hookup an svideo cable to a second computer's svideo-in record it there. That way there will be minimal impact on your performance.

I do have multiple monitors. What would I need to record using the svideo?Originally posted by =DNC=BongSquadOne method here is to enable multiple montors, and use the 'clone' option.
