BF2 doesn't update

I reformatted my computer and then installed Battlefield 2 after installing some other essential programs. I downloaded the full patch and opened it. It installed and says it is finished. Now when I start BF2 up it says I am running v. 1.1.2 not 1.2.1 or whatever. So I tried to reinstall it and after like a minute of installing it says it is finished but it is still the same version.

The version that it says in the game isn't the same as the patch name. That's how it's supposed to be.

yea the numbers in the top right hand corner dont match with the version number...btw wat are those numbers suppose to be?

Either way I can't join any of the servers besides 83 of them. It says I am running an old version. Sorry I forgot to mention that part.
