Need help with Air-defense and ground-defense badges ??

I seem to have done what it takes to qualify for these badges many times, but still haven't received either one. Am I missing something ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks !!

Basic is just time on an MG or TOW in game... really simple.

For the TOW badge, try the one on Cleansweep and take out the APC's that come for the isle

Well, to rule out the obvious things, are the servers ranked? Did you complete the round? And are you sure of the requrments?

karkand->US->spawn at gas station->sit in M249 mounted MG->command-> badge done
or: karkand->MEC->spawn at factory/gatehouse->sit in HungJian 8 (HJ-8)->command-> badge done


dragon valley/dalian plant/daqing oil fields/wake->spawn on carrier/main base->sit in stinger/IGLA/CIWS->command->badge done.

these first badges require time, not kills.

Hmm... I think thats what Im going to end up doing when I go for AA and GD vet /exp badges... Better start next time I command :laugh:

is it just me or does it seem like... you HAVE to get the IAR kills AFTER{keyword} you get your time requirement.
ive had rounds where i killed 25 or so people with sniper kit prior to my fifteen hour req.... but i never did receive it once i hit that time. i ended up having to kill another fifteen or twenty IAR again once i had my time req.

anyone else notice this?

Badges like this is all about the time.

Just sit in it for the required amount of time, and read a magazine or something while it acquires. Get the required kills if needed.

Yep, get the time, then get the kills after you have the time. The kills before time dont matter.

its happened to me for damn near every single badge ive ever gotten.. for my expert support combat i had 100h:3m(while playing after i just restarted bf2) i got 40 kills, no go. gave up and started commanding then i got it a hour later

As stated, you have to get the time first. For example, if you have 14 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds of time as medic and you join a server and get the 20 kills you need for Veteran Medic Combat, you won't get it. If you get 20 kills again on the next round you should get it because then your time requirement will be met.

best way for basic AA is on mastur city and sit in the aa there and command.

I finally got both. It took considerably longer than advertised. There wasn't any delay on any of other badges I had gotten tonight before that. I haven't been fortunate enough to be a commander yet. thanks !!
