Has anyone seen this before...new to me

So im on wake island and I see this guy running around with us (the Americans) but he's red. Why is no one shooting this guy.. So I decide I will and kill him off...

So I get a team kill penalty, heres the best part I check the roster and the guy IS on the other team.

So in short guys showing up as red that really are red but you get the team kill penalty anyway...I dont get it..

I think it happened a fw times that game I've been playing since october 2005 and I got like 5 team kills in that one game... I thought i was going crazy...

Yes, multiple times unfortunately. The Red Tag Bug... MANY complaints about it on this forum. With luck itll be fixed in 1.3???

i had something similar happen to me.

on karkand, i was USMC, and this guy who was MEC, in MEC uniform, had a blue tag over his head...so im like ok, red/blue bug, so i shoot his ass because he shot at me too. killed him, and i got a TK. i was like wtf...but there was no punish.

no it won't. They are instead concentrating on adding CO-OP support, which is utterly useless.

If you need a buddy to help deal with bots, maybe you should stick to minesweeper.

I heard about the red tag bug, but I just figured the color tag was off, In my case, This dude I shot was running around on my team, actaully trying to take out an enemy tank... he just was showing up red. BUT according to the roster he WAS on the other team...

So i shot him becuase he was red he was on the otherteam, but he was acting like he was on my team and I got the team kill..

What the h*ll kind of bug is that? What is the real deal?.. was he on my teem or not?

The Red-Blue bug is said to be fixed in several of the previous patches. Obviously, they didn't succeed.

There is only one word for this.

you say it like minesweeper is easy...when a majority of the board is clear, it usually gets to a few 50/50 clicks, which sucks....shouldnt have to guess!!!

The red tag bug, it's been around since day 1 mate. Run a search and you can see the evolution of the nasty coding...lol

I had an interesting case of this bug the other day. Or it may just be a different type of glitch.

I was squad leader of a full squad, so I'm used to guys spawning on me. I noticed that this one guy that spawned on me looked different (we were USMC, he was MEC). First, I think about shooting him, but he appears blue. But he kills me.

Later on the game, he spawns on me again as we're enroute to our destination not near any normal spawns. No enemy soldiers in sight that may have been his squad leader either. He kills my entire squad, so I kill him. It shows a teamkill, but I don't get negative points for it, so I guessed it to be the red/blue bug.

But a bug where enemy spawns on you while you're spawn leader was new to me. The guy did it many times that round. Just appears next to us and starts firing. <shrug>

i created a squad once, at karkand, USMC team, and a few guys joined.....one guy switched teams i guess, because he stopped hangin out wit us, and and was chillin wit all his MEC hommies and wearing some new MEC clothes, but he still had a green tag, and showed up on my maps, and was in my squad list....i should have spent the round stalking/killing him.......but thas kinda cheap...

I've had it the other way. enemy guy coming up on my team.

was cool, because it made it really easy to kill him, with him appearing on my hud all the time.

Nastiest verison of this I ever had was a guy that had green over his head like he was in my squad. I checked Tab and Caps lock screens and both said he was in my squad. I just ignore him even though his uniform is wrong and he kept killing me with no TK message. I caught on, but it was pretty annoying. More so than the typical variant IMO.
