not ranking up?

i have all the requirerment to rank up from master sergent to first sergent but it wont promote me, just a full progress bar with no change, what do i do?

If you find out, let everyone here know. There's a lot of speculation going on that it could be this Tuesday (the 16th) but the people who know can't talk b/c of a NDA. I also read someone else claim that it would be at least a week b/c EA always notifies server providers at least 7 days ahead of a patch.

My guess is that they'll sort out BFHQ before the patch comes out and you'll rank up then. Sorry you're having to wait though.

ranking up from master to first sargent isnt possible, you need the requirements when you hit 20000 or you can not get first, doesnt really matter though, first dont get unlocks, only master

I had this problem this morning, i was promoted to the same rank each game i joined because it wasnt updating. I just logged on and it seems all my stats were saved from the time period and i advanced in rank and got my unlock.

Yeah, but hes not having a prob with bfhq, its just not possible for him to rank up from master to first srg

Just give it time, unless the server crashed you'll be fine.

As someone mentioned above, it is NOT possible to go from master sgt to first sgt, you either get one or the other...If you want first sgt, you must meet the requirements before hitting 20,000 points

I only emphasize this because this has been covered 12 million times already...

Well, that is only because it is not easy to search the forums and find these tidbits of info. THanks for asking the question Zach1234 - I've been trying like crap to make this IMPOSSIBLE rank also.

Even though I've tried in vain, I have every BF2 & SF basic badge now, wouldn't have otherwise :)
