    difference in tank torque

now we all know that the velocity of the tank shells (im talking type98 vs M1A2) type98's shell travels a hell of a lot faster than the M1A2

but how come when 2 tanks are trying to go up the same hill the type98 is the only one that can do it and you have to abandon the M1A2.

just wondering if any fellow wake players have experienced the same thing, especially if the tank is stuck on the south shore of the south base near the IGLA turret or in between the north base and the airfileld at that lone sandbag bunker on the east shore. OR at the north base near the bridge

i would think that the americans would have a better diesel engine than the chinese

I know exactly what you are talking about, and it's true. The type 98 has a lot better mobility than the Abrams. I think that the Abrams has a better armor though. Either way, T90 rules them all.

yes the abrams does have better armor, depending on where the hit is, you can just tell.

and i beg to differ about the T90, ill take that type 98 into hell and back

Chinese is superior in every aspect of this game pretty much.. wtf...

You would think the JSF or F-18 would be superior to the J-10.. but nooo

        Same with the Abrams...

My experience is that the T90 has won every duel with the Abrams. Same goes for the attack choppers, the mi-28 ouperforms the cobra thanks to that 20mm canon. The chinese chopper is very comparable to the cobra, and we all know about the j-10's superiority.

The m1's gas turbine more than enough torque to shear off drive sprockets. It's top speed is limited by the limits of track technology as it has enough power to throw tracks at high speeds.

I have attatched a .wav of the m1's gas turbine starting.

well you are wrong about the chinese chopper... it looks and feels like the mi-28... but the cannons are worse than the cobras... making it the worst heli in the game.

the cobra is agile and you can do all sorts of shit with it... the cannons have decent splash damage, and the camera missle moves slower than the other choppers, and can turn easier.

The mi-28 (havoc) is not manueverable at all.. but its cannon more than makes up for every con of the chopper...

the best overall chopper IMO is the cobra..

HOLY ****... I would not want to be anywhere near that thing...

Why does it have a turbine engine.. thats weird.

                  Acceleration and speed.

It has crap fuel consumption though, they use about 3x more fuel than a diesel engine tank, so they need to refuel more often. And, the exhaust is a helluva lot hotter which makes it not a good place for infantry to stand behind.

Lately I've been playing SF and dealing with mi-34's and apaches, that is hiding from them since I haven't been flying in a while. The reason being, there are always 5 people waiting at the helipad and I don't like being caught in the middle of the fight over the stupid chopper anymore, so I've been ground pounding a lot. But I did have some nice moments using choppers back in vanilla.

Must be some short fat chinese guys at Dice that thought that making their nations weapons better would be equal justice! :)

Yes, but their infantry weapons are not as good as the ones from the other armies though. Thei lmg is far behind the rest of them, their smg is a joke, and the ak-47 is very inaccurate, which is close to the reality being 60 year old rifle. The MEC's ak-101 is a different story, and I would chose it over the m-16 anytime.

The reason why the M1 Abrams uses a turbine engine? 1500 horsepower.

Yeah, I've noticed it too. The tank's main weakness is the strange damage mesh, or whatever its called, that makes the Abrams take damage from every little bump in the road.

BTW, Mack, I've played with you a few times on Wake Wake Axxium I think.

The meaning of torque has clearly went through and past the developers heads...
