APC experiences

OK, I've been playing a lot with armor recently (new account). Frankly, a lot of APC [LAV] "whoring" or whatever it is called in 24/7 Karkand servers. I think that the LAV is the best vehicle in Karkand; and if used correctly can easily get the win for USMC (like, if you become squad leader and use it to cap. flags).

Although it's harder to survive in the LAV when comparing with the MBT, it's much more enjoyable. I love speeding all the way across the map and killing people before they can say "Damn!". A few points:

1. It's harder to avoid car bombing in the APC - that damn missile takes ages to reload, and sometimes it will pass THROUGH the damn car!

2. It's easier to kill the APC with AT (Eryx/SRAW/HJ/TOW), because there is no real weak spot. So people just fire and forget. In the other hand, it's a bit hard to hit the tracks of tank if he/she can position himself/herself correctly. And most of the players don't even go for the tracks.

3. I think I have a positive K/D ratio VS. Tanks and/or VS. APC's.

Usually when a tanker sees the APC he/she will go for the kill, and using the right strategy I can kill them. Or if I spot them first, whatever.

4. Something I'm very annoyed at is the APC's "colision damage". Sometimes a car will run into the APC, almost flip it, and take 50% of its health! And the car doesn't even explode!

5. I think the LAV is the best APC. The BTR-90 and WZ551 are taller, and couldn't find an advantage. It just makes it harder to kill target very near your (like a SpecOps trying to C4 you).

I prefer the gun on the BTR-90, fires much faster and seems to me to be more deadly (most likely because it lets me fix my sucky aim) but other than that I agree whole heartedly.
Plus you can go across the water too!

I found the BTR-90's aim pretty ugly; I just can't stand the ugliness of it; the same for the T-90.

This is another thing I love about APC's, the splash damage. I love when the guy/gal try to flee from the APC and hides himself/herself behind a wall. Makes the laugh.

I also think the amphibious capability of the APC's almost useless. It's very very sluggish, and before finally reaching wherever you want to go, chances are you will be bombed/tv-m'ed/strafed, die and realize you wasted 5 min in the water.

I like though, when you see boats in the middle of the water and you are in the APC. I will sadisticaly poke them, and let them know how helpless they are. Some will bail, what's even funnier. When they do this, I think "To kill or not to kill?".

It's fun to leave them in the middle of the ocean

BTR all the way because of the faster firing rate.
With luck you can kill AT guys with your cannon before they fire/guide in for the kill

Statistically, the LAV is the worst APC.
Though it's faster, it has less firepower, and I think armor.

Though with it's scenario, I preffer the LAV (being USMC) on Karkand.

I like the WZ551, it basically shoots out mini-grenades, No aiming needed, the splash damage those bullets or whatever it shoots out is huge. The gunner/passenger positions are abit lame though.

Btw, what do APC's shoot out? HE bullets?

With luck you can kill AT guys with your cannon before they fire/guide in for the kill

What he said, BTR fires faster so you are stonger against infantry and i think its actually a bit less wide than lav although a bit longer....

Btw, what do APC's shoot out? HE bullets?

Not sure of the technical term, but its basically explosive shells that are smaller than the big t-90 and m1a2 rounds and so can fire faster but do less dmg...

I would go with the USMC LAV. The Chinese and MEC are taller, so you can not shoot downward as easily as the LAV. THe LAV is smallest of all, others seem wide and tall. What I hate about APC is that the caannon burns out in the middle of fighting, when u need it. I like the placement of gunners in the LAV, both side and rear, while the BTR is facing the sides only. Im not a big APC fan, but they sure can do a helluva lotta damage, especailly the shells blast through infantry. the tow takes forever 2 reaload though.

60% of the kills in Armor, 95% of these in an APC I guess.
KDR in armor is around 8, not so great but it's increasing.
