help me im going patch crazy

So.

i had BF2 a long time ago and it stopped working so i uninstalled and played warcraft (yes laugh if you want).

well now im getting all itchy to play it again and i have no idea what has happened in the last 5 months in BF.

what patches do i need? any huge changes now? do people still punish for their own mistakes?

You need the 1.22 full patch. Quite a few changes. Yes there are still punish monkeys.

By the way a new patch is coming out soon 1.3 it will include vehicle dropping (Humvees) Also spawning on Squad-leaders also known as Squad-Hopping will be gone.

erm lets see:

C4 is useless.
The BH is useless.
Support guns went from useless to full-auto M95s and then back to somewhere in between.
2 new unlocks that both suck.
AA went from useless to amazing, then back to useless.
Mines/Clays don't kill teammates.

Spawning on squad leaders is not going anywhere. Joining a squad while you're dead and then spawning on that squad leader (i.e. squad-hopping) will be gone. I think you already knew this, but I'm just clarifying for the guy that's been out of the game for a while.
