Can't log on to Account Server!

When I attempt to log on to my account my puter can't seem to get beyond the "logging onto account server...please wait." Is there something up with EA or possibly a local problem?

Same here I get logged in for about .5 sec and it says server closed connection. I try again and it locks up. I'm outside of Chicago. My clan mate in Detroit gets logged in fine just a little slow.

This is exactly what is happening to me- it looks like i got in (I see the add for 2142) and the i get the "server closed connection" message.

This sucks!!!!!!! Im in NJ

Im in Connecticut and it just sits at connecting to account server for the longest time. I let it run for 5 mins and it never timed out, I couldnt alt tab or anything so I had to do a hard reboot.

I cannot log on either. I wanted to play a little bit of USI before I start to study for my finals all day. I am glad to find out the problem is not with my computer, and that many people are having ths same trouble. I can log into BF2 after 4 minutes (usually 5 seconds) and when I try to activate USI it either takes forever and freezes, or crashes to the desktop. It worked great last night.

Can't log on neither it just sits saying ''connecting to the account server'' then if I hit ctrl+alt+del it will tell me that BF2 is not responding.

Thanks goodness wasn't just me..! I restarted modem and all the routers...

I think this might be a server down, hopefully they might fix it sometime today. If its a bug, get ready for a long wait.

Its just ea updating and sdjusting the main account server in prep for 1.3
