BF2 Loading problems no CD patch and update installed

Hello all

I only recently bot my copy of BF2, but i am having some problems with it and i wondered if you guys could help me out

I have installed the game, but when i double click on the load-icon on the desktop, it comes up with the main screen, then tells me that there is no CD in the DVD drive....which there is. So i downloaded the no CD patch, put it into the BF2 program files but still no joy,if i try to launch from the .exe in the program files, i just get a black screen for 5 seconds before it flicks back to the desktop and closes the program.

I have also installed the BF2 update....but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Try this instead of ***** patches:

***** patches can cause tons of grief.

Of the three CDs for BF2 r u useing the right one? (Which should be #1).

I only got 1 cd with the game? would that be a problem.....it is the DVD version if this helps...and im in the UK.

I bought this game from a high-street store.......

I don't understand 'high-street store'. It is a trusted retailer, right? not some street vendor/black/grey market?

Anyway, provided your copy is legal, use the mini-image method described in the link I provided above. It's what I use.

yea, its 100% legal....i will try that method ASAP

right, i did that...but its impossible to stop the image maker....its done before can click stop.... any ideas?
