No Sound/Gray Background Bug

All of the sudden a while ago, the background of my menu became just a gray screen. Now, all of the sudden, I have no sound. Is this a bug? Does anyone else have this? Most importantly, does anyone know how to fix this?

Did you change/disable the movies?
If so, one of them is the background video

Yes, I took out the videos, but I made sure I only took out the EA, Dice, Legal and Intro movies.

I've noticed that if I Alt+Tab out of the game before I get to the login screen I have no background video and the buttons all have this weird rainbow color scheme. I can't remember if this messed up my sound or not. Is it possible that you did this once, or does it happen every time you start the game up?

yup this happens to me sometimes when i alt tab out, doesnt mess with my sound though.

Yeah, I hanged my sound settings, and the sound works now. But the grey background thing happens every time i boot the game up. Then, if I join a server and then leave, the menu goes back to normal.
