A question about my ping

Hey all,
Sorry if this has been posted before, I am new. I have been having a problem with my ping just recently. I use to have a ping of 50-120 but now I have a ping of +300. I have no idea if this is my internets fault or if there is somthing wrong with the servers. Hope you all can help, Thanks.

Packard, there's alot we need to know. Where are the servers you are pinging? Where are you in relation to them (I'm not saying you have to tell us where you're from but arethe serves in the samw country, etc.?) Have you run a trace route to the server's IP, Have you checked DSLreports.com to see if there is a problem somewhere? How is the rest of your internet functions performing?

Try downloading pingplotter from www.pingplotter.com and do a few traceroutes to some common sites like google, microsoft, and then to a few BF2 servers.

You'll see where the problem lies and even be given contact information as to who to contact regarding the faulty router, etc.

Yes, the servers are in the same country, they are even on the same coast sometimes. Didn't find anything at DSLreports.com. The rest of my internet is running a little slower but fine and my Nascar game is having the ping problem too.
