There are actually 3 night maps.
Night Flight
Devil's Perch
Leviathan

But I never seen Leviathan played. I finally was playing on a server the other night which was full and had Leviathan in the rotation. It was my first time playing the map from start to finish. Other times that I've played it, I've had to track down the map and hope more than 10 people were playing.

But at the moment, Night Flight is probably my favorite of the three.

The TOW glitch killed it pretty much.

I am in full support of a Special Forces booster pack, but the likelihood of EA releasing one are nil. EA has had little success with their Euro Force booster pack, and the only reason they're still releaing Armored Fury is because they had already developed most of it by the time Euro Force was released. It looks like EA is going to drop support for Battlefield 2 and begin to focus exclusively on Battlefield 2142 from herein.

I love Leviathan. And night maps. I don't get why people hate that map, and night maps in general. What do you mean by "TWO glitch"? I've not been following, I guess. But OT anyway..

On-topic: I think new content for BF2:SF needs to come from the community. Booster packs, however cheap they may be, are just unnecessary revenue (oh no, I'm not trolling here, and don't want to go down that road .. again).

Besides, there are so many awesome map-makers out there who deserve to get recognized for their work. So I hope someone picks up on that soon.

The TOW glitch I refer to is the one (Fixed now) that crashed your server anytime someone fired a mounted Tow fixed on the Humveee's.

I totally agree.

Special Forces has a lot more potential to be much better than it already is.

Bring in some sort of urban night map or something. I'm sure that would get people playing.

Or maybe we could have a pure infantry map - no vehicles. That would be so cool. *groundpounder*

I hate to say it, but let's face it, SF is old news to EA...Dice would prob like to add a few maps, but its corporate now, and EA wants PRODUCTIVE work that earns money...the only way you will see anything like an add-on is if somebody does what the guys that are now Dice did...make a mod so good that it overshadows the original...FOR FREE. Not likely nowadays.:cry:

More SF maps for ranked servers would be great. I like the gameplay of SF a lot better than vanilla bf2.

I am one that really does not like the night maps. Its only cause of the green, it really works my eyes and strains them a lot. I can remember running the radar tracking screens in the USMC, I got headaches from them back then. Good thing I just repaired the consoles and did not have to sit there for 8 hours staring at the screens like the operators did.

I know that SF in itself is an expansion to BF2 but I think it's enough of a game on its own to warrant a booster pack. I'd like to see more maps at the very least.

I say it's a fabulous idea, and am all for it. I would instantly buy a booster for SF. I think DICE Canada really have the right idea with Battlefield, I loved Vietnam aswell.

I doubt there will be anything more released for SF. EA has already said they dont even support this mod now.
