Battlefield has never been realistic, though I don't think I will buy this game for a while. I will stick to BF2 and FH2.

I don't like BF2142. It's too unrealistic (weapons, vehicles ...), so I'm staying at Battlefield 2 :)

Really too early to tell.
How ever if they use the same graphics engine as BF2, I will not be buying it.
If I am going to pay $50 for a new game it better be new.
The fact that they are promoting this new game sooooo much and havent yet fix the bugs in their current game really ****es me off.

Not Interested. I thought BF2 would have been treated better than it has. I mean Counter Strike has been taken care of and it's been one of the most popular games for the longest time now. People still buy it. If you buy HL2, you get HLDM, DODS, CSS, the map editor, constant updates, a list of what is being fixed and what is in need of repair next time around.

Before anyone decides to get on their high horse, I know BF2 is NOT CSS; however, it is a videogame and it has similarities...That's it. It's an example.

Yup, EA has made their BF2 money now. I dont think they give 2 sh!ts if anyone buys Armored Fury or anything else from this point on. It would truly suprise me if they actually decided to fix some of the BS they think makes the game better. It's like paying for a service and the people you are paying decide to do things the way THEY want and not the way YOU want. It's YOUR F**KING MONEY in the 1st place.

2142 looks alright, but I would have to stop playing BF2. I have not managed to stop playing BF2 since I bought it, I have decent other games still in their cellophane wrapper! Alternating BF2 2142 maps might work......?

can it be more unrealistic than what BF2 is? no it can't... im sure you wouldnt complane where as in BF2 medics can revive someone thats just been headshotted by a sniper using a M95.. or how bout being revived just being blown up by three C4 packs? i can go on and on about how unrealistic BF2 is...

i think it is going to be crap. i hate the futuristic SCi fi. i prefere BF2 as it is and they should just add more weapons, maps, and vehicles to it. i hope people will still play bf2 when 2142 comes out

That's not the point.

The point is that it's more realistic than 2142 because you see the BF2 weapons being used in combat today, which makes it a more immersive game for some people.

I'd rather be gunning someone down with an AK-47 than a 'Plasma gun' anyday. More satisfaction.

Its simple; The people voting "no" have no idea about the game. All they've seen are the screens, the tiny storyline, and the first trailer. I'm looking forward to this game so much...can't wait. Its going to be awesome.

DICE didn't want to make it too unrealistic, so they left lasers out of the game. You'd think that in 136 years from now, they'd have laser guns.

So DICE left out something amazing, for the sake of these d*mn whiners who say that the game is too futuristic.

Just watch, when it comes out, everyone in this thread will be swarming to it, haha.

You even missed what i was trying to say. Laser guns or not - You won't find that battle technology on the field today, and there ARE people who don't like that sort of thing in their games.
