    Being a commander

I'm not the best commander, but if you have applied to be an commander you should stay at one place (hiding away). And commander screen must be on all the time.Say your team that they form to teams.Or it will be really ****ty to be an commander if you can't command anyone:).
Try to always if something is ready.Like if UAV is ready you must definitly use it.Always use scan.No need to worrie if you want to launch artillery. The Scan loads up two times faster then The Artillery. If you see any enemy on the map with uav or zooming in map you have to spotted it.That nearby troops can woop hi ass.If you are near a flag. And it has been neautrilized you should check it out.Its important to protect your mainbase. Were tanks are spawned.Because if the mainbase is captured. The tanks will spawn to enemy side .And your team is screwed.
Use every method to win , because if you win you will recive 2x points.
And thats a very good thing
YOu will get problaly GOLD medal to if you team win.
MANY RIBBONS AND BADGES ARE INVOLVED WITH BEING A COMMANDER
Always update squad orders. That they will know where to attack

    GOOD LUCK COMMANDERS!!!

Now if only they'd add a feature which would allow a commander to disband a squad from his screen if they aren't following his commands. Some people join squads and still just do their own thing. Frustrating seeing as the Commander has all the info.

Now that would be a very useful tool. I hate it when you give a squad an order to hold or take a flag and you're totally ignored or they just don't care, just to have the enemy take all your flags. It seems that they are the ones to mutiny first also.

Yes, but there's a big difference between knowing it and actually doing it... Although most people would know this, or think it reasonable when someone says it, many people don't actually put it into practice.

Seems the biggest thing for commanders to remember is: your troops won't capture many flags if you keep dropping artillery on their heads once they've fought their way in...

nahh that would suck... how many times don't you have a ****y commander tellign you just 2 attack certain flags... when others need more defence...
so that wouldn't work out i guesse

                    Re: Being a commander

Talking to your squad leaders via voice is far more useful than giving them visual commands. Giving good amounts of info via voice is what makes a good commander.

                    1) Tell your team (by typing) to "squad up" at the beginning of a round and whenever you see lots of lone wolves on your team.
                    2) Use the scan a lot and point out enemies nearby to team-mates that aren't under the UAV umbrella. But don't be too annoying with this.
                    3) Tell your squad leaders which enemy flags are empty or lightly defended often.
                    4) Instead of telling squad leader x to go here or there, ask all squad leaders "who wants to go take the Backyard?" Nine times out of ten at least one squad volunteers. Ten times out of ten that squad actually goes for that flag.
                    5) Save your arty strikes for flags of yours that aren't being defended and enemies are moving in to take it. Secondary importance for arty is blowing up large groups of enemies that are camped out in a spot and don't seem to be going anywhere. Third importance is taking out enemy snipers that are camped out. Other than that - save your arty. Arty does NOT need to be going off as often as possible.
                    6) Commending particular squads by talking to all squad leaders at the same time encourages friendly competition between squads. Sounds hokey, but it works.

You are the Commander. Commanders can't command without communicating. So communicate in the best ways possible, and communicate often, but efficiently (keep it short and to the point).
