Destroying assets with bombs?

I knew you could with bombers... But I didn't know you could with fighters...

But earlier my commander put an arty strike over his own arty and said people were trying to blow the arty up.... so, I dropped 2 bombs on them, killed them both, but I also blew up the enemies arty (the commander was retarded... it was still their arty, and they were just walking around in that area.

So my question is... how many bombs does it take to blow up an asset? I'm talking direct hits.... 1? 2? I don't think I got a direct hit on it with 2 bombs, because I wasn't trying to.. I was just randomly bombing because I had no idea where these people were.

Maybe it was damaged?

but then again... I did it a second time just to see... and it worked every time I did it. I dropped 2 bombs every time also.. didn't test 1.

Yup you can, I do it a lot. UAV is a very easy target

Not sure about how many bombs it takes. Just start an offline server and see for yourself :)

It's 2 bombs, the same as a bridge.

You can blow bridges with a jet aswell?! Well I never knew that. I don't think I've seen in ever happen though.

Yeah, I do it now and then on Wake if the commander keeps bombing the carrier/airfield. I first learned about that when someone was trying to blow up our UAV so I dropped bombs on them and I blew up the UAV so I got team vehicle damage.

I always thought it had to be C4 for destroying commander toys, but on Wake the other day I saw a Chinese tank shooting at the US artillery on the island and destroying it. I didn't realise you could do that. Can any weapon do it, eventually - obviously you'd need a lot of grenades to take out the radar, but would it work if you kept at it?

I suppose it'd make sense - something like a TV missile from an attack chopper ought to blow it up, being the most powerful weapon in the game, although I've never tried...

Nah, it takes 4 camera missles to blow up an asset... bombs are stronger.

But yes, technically any weapon can kill an asset. They have health just like a vehicle or person... its just alot... lol

Cool...... Not so great that it takes four TV missiles to do it though... But if you happen to be rolling past in a tank or flying overhead and an asset is smoking (perhaps it's just getting repaired or something), it's nice to know you can blow it up again even if you don't have C4...

It takes 3 direct hits from a tv guided missle from a attack heli or a single bombing run from a fighter to blow up 1 commander asset.

A bomber only needs 1 bombing run to blow up multiple commander assets (drops 5 bombs)

You can also blow up commander assets with grenades and even tanks if it is smoking or on fire (very low health) as I have done this numerous times

You just realized that now? I had been doing that since the first week of the demo, easy way to get a few spare points when you've cleared everything out of the air and nobody wants to bother getting up anymore, if you happen to be in that area.

another great thing is to destroy them with a laser-guided missile from the bomber... one shot one kill.

The funny thing is, you didn't get any points for blowing assets back then.

It takes like +- 35 tank shells to destroy an asset with full health. really not worth.

yup i quite often take out all the assets and important bridges with jets and bombers(+tv missile).

usually takes 2 bombs from a jet per item tho.
