Deleting your account

Is it possible to delete your own account? In any weird way? I have searched all over the place. Google, TotalBF2 you name it. I can't seem to find anything that tells me whether you can delete your account?

I want to do this, because I made an account called "[BOBEC]Jackass~Dk~", but now I want it changed to "[BOBEC]*Jackass*DK". I know it sounds weird, but it's something I want to do, so please help me. I couldn't just make a new one with another e-mail, because it said that the account with that name was already made. So I guess BF2 doesn't look after the "*" or "~" signs.

You cannot delete your account.

You'll have to use a completely new and unrelated e-mail account and chances are, it won't let you use that above username because it is too similar to one that already exists.

No problem..I went through a similar problem on release day with a friend of mine. He screwed up his account name and could never change it.

actually I think you can delete it. log into either fileplanet or gamespyid.com and it will detect every bf2 account you have, then some window will let you delete the account. I have a pic of it somewhere, a friend of mine accidently deleted his bf2 account.

I think you can delete your gamespy or fileplanet account, but I don't think you can delete a BF2 account and then create a new one under that name or even a similar name.

The entry stays in the database AFAIK.

cant u just make a new account with that name...or if ur desperate...using part of it in ur prefix

when he EA was working on the patch, a question came along that said "are you going to make it so that people can be able to change their names" and the makers said "we are looking into that"

lets hope its done because not being able to change your name is gay. they should make it so that it only tracks your player id and not your name. i think the game would be ALOT better then.
