K, I just bought SF and it when I install it it says it's patching BF2 to the 1.1 patch. Why would it do that if I have the 1.22 patch? Is this a problem?

Please answer ASAP.

just install the full 1.22 patch and you will be ok.

Yeah dude just reinstall the full 1.22 patch from whereever you download from and you will be fine because both games will be fully up to date.

yeah sf contains the 1.1 patch so you need to re patch to 1.22

if it don't work you will need to do a full reinstall of bf2 in this order.BF2>bf2:sf>1.22 full patch>EF (if you have it)

Wtf?? The game lags like hell, the graphics seem pretty bad on SF compared to vBF2 and it crashed on me twice! Wtf is going on?! I've NEVER had any of these problems with BF2. It's almost unplayable.

My specs:

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
GeForce 6600GT
1GB RAM

i would try a full re install of battlefield.sf has never run a smooth as vanilla. if it still lags try turning you settings down a bit.

Lower your settings in the video section and it should become playable.
Also make sure you have the latest vid driver installed and make sure your HD is defraged.
But you are correct SF does not run well on the same settings as plain BF 2.

I realize money does not grow on tree's but the biggest performance boost I got was going from 1gig of ram to 2 gigs and going from a 6 series vid card to a 7 series card made a lot of differance for me.

After that my SF plays on the same settings as my BF 2 plain no problem.
