I played CS for 3-4 years, CS Source for about 4 months only after ALL the maps came out.. but the game wasnt the same. They made it into a retard friendly game.

Retard Friendly = You need almost no skill to get kills. You hold down fire around corners, and usually end up killing someone. The games mechanics were all changed and the game was made for younger unskilled players. This was one of the main reasons why cs ORIGINAL was considered the best game to play for matches.

Ive been playing BF2 for 3 days.. and really enjoy it. In terms of maps, designs, guns, action... BF2 wins hands down.

In terms of game styles ie. cap the flags + kill tickets vs bomb here or save hosties.... i prefer CS. Why? Cause im still not used to holding flags. I always think to go for all the flags and not defend any.

The only thing i dont like about BF2 so far.. VERY hard to eliminate tanks if your not spec ops/engineer/anti tank specially on city maps where there is no room to hide. Means 4 classes gotta sit there and watch the tank take the flag. Im sure when i find a server or clan that plays together.. my opinion will change.

Side note: CS also = 1 man can win the game alone EVERY round. I used to go 9-0 to start and be 17-1 by second / third round. Players get bored and leave very quickly or call you hacker... so the experience sucks.

In BF2 if you get wasted from an ace pilot, or a sniper from a mile away.. and you see his rank is super high.. you can tell he put his time in and not some punk 14 year old aim hacking everyone.

ive been a hardcaore SOF2 player for a couple years. but it is way clear that BF2 outplays SOF2 anyday.

I play BF2 for:
Vehicles ( chopper pilot )
Awesome graphics
Squad teamplay
Taking flag caps
Watching big explosions

I play sof2 for:
Owning the **** out of other people in infantry
extremely fast paced warfare
Capture the flag and deathmatch

CounterStrike doesn't even rank up in my book. I hate that game. Sure im good at it, but its just the same thing over and over and over and over again

they might all be shooters but u cant really compare them, cs is there for skill etc with weapons only, bf2 is a broader games with vehicles so you have to think and play differently....

but for long binges id go for css cos its a lot more social and i can ban smacktards cos i admin on my clan server

i bought cs :source ,played for some time.. it kinda lamed.. i think Day of defeat in cs is better.. bought BF2 and.. is there more to say really? It is the best game ive EVER played! period

bf2 is definately out on top. cs is so plain - on xfire, its always DE_dust. you run out and get killed by a camper. you have to watch other ppl play till the campers realise that they cant win if they all camp. next round, the people who lose arent expected to pull the lead back, because they have worse guns! get camped, watch someone else play. bf2 - the most annoying thing i can think of is carier camping and constant arty, but it can be dealt with, either by admin, or blowing their arty into peices!

long live bf2! and bf 2142 is gonna beat ETQW by a lot to!

Bf2 is my favorite by a long shot. However when artillary gets on my nervs I enjoy playing Counterstrike source. Kinda nice every once in awhile not having to worry about apcs, tanks, and artillary.

I loved both CS and Source, but probably played Source for way more hours online as all my friends were into it too. They all have BF2, athough we are not into BF2 in the same sort of way. I played CS to jump into high paced action, kinda like Quake, with nearly all of my real life friends on a server. It gave me a real buzz to play, being the last alive with all hope resting on your shoulders sent my heart racing at times. Although BF2 is really enjoyable, it just feels like I am farming points for the ranks sake sometimes. It's a far superior game no doubt, it just doesn't give me the same sort of buzz, and not as fun to play completely buckled on a drink and weed binge. :)

BF2, I play SOF2 but not as much as I used too, I bought it when it came out in 2002, and its got a really good multiplayer, been in quite a few clans too but I don't have the gold patch still have the old school v1, the games plagued with hackers though, even gold version with punkbuster just go too pbbans.com and look what game has the most bans by FAR.

BF2 has more sophistication too it, its got so much to do, its like GTA's gameplay in a way, different every time you play it.

I have the old school cs 1.5 installed and like karl said, it is harder then css it takes more skill imo. I have css too and hl2, I wish I could play dod 1.6 again, but ****ty steam won't let me.
