Scoped guns.. need advice

I unlocked my sniper rifle yesterday when i ranked as lance corporal so as i didnt have to use those god awful auto sniper rifles if your not on the U.S. team. Im hitting the next rank tonight and im looking for 1 of 2 things for my next unlock so i need some advice.

1) I usually play spec ops, sniper, or jump around other classes due i dont really like thier guns too much "YET" ( just started playing the game ). I LOVE the spec ops gun due to the laser sight scope. I can see clearly, and aim perfectly. Is there any upgrade you can unlock that sorta mimics that style of scope, or a scope like the snipers gun but for other classes? I cant stand looking down iron sights when the enemy is at medium to long range. Any opinions?

2) Looking for a total replacement weapon. I dont mind playing medic, assault, or support with the current guns. I do average and im learning the ins and outs of playing the classes. They are pretty sweet once you semi learn how to fire properly. But as for engineer or anti tank.. the guns are just brutal. Yeah you can kill someone up close with a shotgun, and yes, ive killed a pilot attacking the carrier cause he tried to fly the deck and i shot him.. but other then that.. the gun sucks. As for the anti-tank's mp5 gun.. its even worse. I find myself always dieing while holding that gun due i cant kill guys at medium to long range. I need something diffrent for that class BIGTIME. But.. im not looking to unlock another great "close range" gun. Im looking for medium to long range scoped guns.

Seeing as im new to the game, i dont have a clue of whats great to get and what not. I picked the sniper gun as first unlock so as i could use the sniper class as arabs/chinesse ( i couldnt kill anyone with those auto rifles )... and now i know within 15 minutes of playing tonight.. im getting my second unlock.

I know there are loads and loads of posts regarding whats BEST to unlock etc.. but im not looking for whats best. Im looking for specifics OTHER then "get the medic gun" , or "this gun rocks close range". What i really need to know is what people havent posted about. Scopes, long range power, etc.

So.. any and all opinions are welcome here. As i said.. im new to the game, and i dont have anyone to ask questions to so i resort to posting on these forums.

SIDE NOTE:

Instead of making a new post.. ill ask here. The mini guns on the carrier chopper... can they kill tanks etc? Seems like i can position my chopper for a good 3-4 mins facing tanks etc, and a teammate is wailing them.. but they never go down. Are those guns only good vs players.. or can they take out vehicles too?

If you like the sniper rifle and want a bit more damage out of your rifle, and the ability to shoot pilots....he he he....,then unlock the M95. Its accuracy is not as good as the M24 but it packs a punch. I have had a lot more one shot kills with it than with the M24. Good Luck

Mini guns on the.. carrier chopper?

You mean the attack choppers, A.K.A the AH-1Z (cobra), MI-28, or the z10?

If so then no, miniguns don't do damage to them at all, and the mi-28 cannon needs over 200 rounds to kill a tank.
Ever tried right clicking when you're the gunner?

As for sniper rifles:

m24/l96a1: Both very good rifles, accurate and with good sights, wich one is better seems to be more down to personal preference

m95: Lacking in accuracy compared to the m24/l96, and has thick sights (bad for aiming) also makes a hell of a lot of noise.

Which means youre either TKing to get a plane/helo ..or camping like a lamer on the airfield.

Either way the sniper rifle has about as much power as a 3 year old with a super squirter but i guess thats reality, after all a 4 inch armor piercing bullet does no damage to the human body.

if you like those sort of scope's then for sniper,
unlock the l96 (if you have sf)nice thin crosshair good for headshots.

the 2nd tier medic gun has a nice zoomed scope and is very accurate.

the 3rd tier (scarl-l)special forces unlock is similar to the standard usmc scope(on the deafult spec-ops gun,but u have to unlock the g36 before you can unlock the scarl-L

Im talking about the carrier choppers and not the attack chopper.

Not the chopper with the tv guided missles and vulcan mini gun.

Im talking about the 5-6 man chopper with the 2 mini guns on the sides. Room for pilot, 2 gunners, and i think 3 extra passengers?

As for the first poster.. ive already unlocked the first sniper rifle that allows you to shoot threw windows.

No, don't shoot at tanks with 'em. You'll only annoy the tank. Infact, they've been nerfed so hard, it's hardly even worthwhile shooting at infantry unless you're really close.
