Basically the game couldn't work out how they died.

For example, if you shoot those LPG tanks and someone is standing next to it, that counts as a [killed]. Sometimes AT mines count as [killed] too.

I've seen the 'no weapon' killed as well, usually from teamkills.

yeah, what did you do to kill them? You thought to take a screen shot, but don't remember that you were shooting at a barrel with a couple of guys next to it or something?

Is it possible that you bombed a target and the "secondary" explosions finished off the guy???

For example when the abrams wreckage explodes "again" before fading away??

I've been playing sniper a bit lately. Ive noticed claymores kills of mine being improperly displayed. Earlier I laid out 2 clays and jumped into an lav-25. When the enemy walked past em it showed me as killing them with the Lav-25 when I hadn't shot them with it. Also another funny time was on usmc, I had a clay down and an enemy was trying to kill a team mate.
The clay takes them both out but it showed the kill as being with an ak(was still sniper). Rofl. How did I kill him with his own weapon while he was still holding it rofl.

I had that on SP, set off a Hand Grenade at exactly the same time I finished him off with my G36C got the "[ ]" kill message
