How did you earn your knife badge?

I figure just run around on a 64 player server and start knifing but yeah...Any tips?

How hard is it really to do?

Not really hard if u think about it. Force yourself to use the KNIFE ONLY, not any other weapon...If you do this in the US team in a 64 karkand and sneek behind the MEC flag of Hotel early in the game you should get it...Atleast basic.

If youre shooting for expert, try one of those knife servers...But I heard they were illegal

You have to hide... like if you see someone running, set yourself up so you can intercept him; but don't get seen while you're setting up.

Drop some clays because you're bound to die...

Save up your sprint so you can rush up to him, and when you're nearly chest-to-chest... knife! Also, the knife acts more like a sword, especially if you and your target are traveling in a straight line.

Also, any prone enemy is a dead enemy, especially if they're scoped or facing away. If you can catch someone looking up at a teammate on a roof, or throwing a grappling hook... another kill (if you're quick - most people dont look @ the sky for long)

Knife only severs are hardly illegal... and are quite fun if there's an admin present.

yep, like whats been pointed out, force yourself to use only the knife, just be prepared to let your kill:death ratio suffer quite severely :S

I beleive I got my basic on a knife PREFERED, not REQUIRED, server. So I got blown away a lot, as you would suspect, but I eventually got it.

i got my expert on 64 size map karkand, with about 35-40 ppl in it.......i pick medic for the sprint, and the heals/revives.....play on MEC team so your knife kills come to you, i find the best conditions for knife kills is when MEC hold all/most of the control points.....so i only cap flags when i am MEC.....use every corner, curb, tree, piece of grass, anything and everything for cover.....and keep an eye on that sprint meter.....keep cover until you have enough sprint to get to next cover...i think its best to go prone before you strike, because ive noticed i tend to get a hit that doesnt register otherwise, and it might take as many as 4-5 hits until one registers.....try to go prone to your targets side, or the rear, they will usually have trouble finding you in their sight.......cant stress this enough BE MEC and cap flags in a squad.....be squad member because you will die alot...and can spawn on your leader

Karkand 64 Player.
Go USMC & choose medic kit.
Spawn on the left artillery position.

Make your way to the burned out APC, wait and save full sprint, sprint across to corner of fence over road, recoup sprint and rehealth if hit.
Then sprint around the corner to the side entrance in the fence, as soon as you enter the yard with boxes in turn left & hide in the small dark corner, recoup sprint & health.

Take your medic packs and drop one in the dark corner before you leave for the alleys, then get out your jabba (knife). Get into the alleys and attack enemies with a sprint and prone action, in between jabba owning throw a few medic packs around to heal you for longer periods in "the killing zone".

Most important thing to do when stabbing imo is always use prone position to stab wether your enemy is standing crouched or prone.

I got mine on Mastuur. The USMC had the palace thing, and we had the junkyard. I went inside the building that faces the junkyard, and the USMC would just spawn there, while I hid behind this cart-thing ( to the left side when you look out the window that faces the junkyard) A lot of peeple would be just standing at the window, either sniping or firing rockets. That is when I would run up to them and stab them.

Unfortunatly I didnt get my veteran knife because of how terrible the registry for hits for the knife is. I came up behind an AT. I waited for him to turn around for that "perfect knife kill". When he turned around I stabbed him in the face and he loaded 3 DAO-12 shells in me.

Wow all these tactics, lol. All i did was go on a 64 player full karkand only server, as medic so i could heal myself as force of habit. All normal, but i ended up getting bored and just running around with my knife just to see how many people i could kill for a laugh, and i ended up getting mine.

You wont believe how many people panic when you run at them with a knife lol. especially between the hotel point on karkand, most of the times ive been killed ther while knifing people has been with a grenade launcher while the person firing it at me has gotten at least two teamkills as well. lol. Just makes it more fun!
