Won't Reinstall!

I uninstalled bf2 a while ago but kept the profiles. When I insert my Cd now, the menu looks like this:



The 2 grayed out options on the menu read "Play Online Now" and "Start BF2". The one file found in the search is "BATTLEFIELD 2_CODE.EXE-21391CAE.pf

As you can see, I do not have the option of installing. I have also included the results when I search my computer for "Battlefield 2" and the "add or remove programs" menu- when I click remove, nothing happens.

Can anyone help me, or know where I can find the help I'm looking for???

Reboot in safe mode. F8 at bios screen. Uninstall bf2 & try again if its the same try regedit in safe mode back up before !!!! search for Battlefield2 & delete it. But back up reg first

I got rid of everything and then reinstalled again. It installed fine, but then when I go to open the game, it shows the "Battlefield 2" logo, then goes to a blank screen, and stops responding.... anyone?

have you tried using windows explorer and going straight to the cd to run bf2 autorun.exe

Did you try EA's manual uninstall "Link below". I had problems after an uninstall and this fixed it, also dont forget to delete the BF2 folder in Mydocuments.

How did you uninstall in the first place?
You have left bits behind.
Search for BF2 and EA folders/files and delete.

I think i had the same problem a while ago..

Screwy Windows leaves registry files even after uninstalling so try this:
Uninstall BF2, (manually if necessary) then click Start, Run, type "regedit" then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE; delete any files associated with BF2 in folders like dice n' EA etc. Then try reinstalling it. Hopefully this should solve ur problem.
