How do i select my unlocked weapon?

I just unlocked the sniper gun.. but when i pick my sniper class.. it wont let me pick my new gun.

Am i supposed to equip it in the BFHQ screen, or is it when i pick the class IN GAME.. im supposed to click on the locked sniper rifle, and it selects it.

Im playing on a registered server with global unlocks 0.. would this also prevent me from using it?

To the top right of each kit weapon box, you will see a box enabled with arrows pointing up and down. Click that to switch between the default weapon and your newly unlocked one.

Global unlocks = 1 on servers just means every unlock is already unlocked for everyone on the server, it is not allowed on ranked servers IIRC.
