lol, some people think it's okay to smoke weed because of *medical reasons.* (which is honorable (to a point))(But some are just potheads and don't want to get arrested every day) Now if you can say that you need to cheat at BF2 because it's the only way to cure your ailments...then that's perfectly ok with me. Whatever makes you feel better.

I USED your analogy to demonstrate my point. Obviously, I don't think it jurts my arguement.

my argument is just like in real life, u can do stuff at your own risk.
Maybe that is your arguement NOW. But two seconds ago it was you had the RIGHT to do anything at your own risk. Eventhough you aren't admitting it, it seems that I am slowly getting through that thick skull of yours.

Are you retarded or are you intentionally ignoring what I have said?

He can't because he agreed to the EULA when he installed the game and in a videogame you have no rights. I already explained this to you. . .why is it so hard for you to comprehend?
and by living in the usa we agree to abide by the laws. it may be wrong to smoke but we can if we ****ing want to. i perfectly comprehend your arguement, i dont think your comprehending mine. just like hacking, we agree but we can if we want to at our own ****ing risk.

There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences.

As much as you would like things to be "ideal" they aren't.

In Videogames, the developers are the ones who truely have no "rights"; tangible ones at that. It's an electronic medium at the end of the day, it's so easy to copy and exploit with a sensable staff and willpower that it's almost silly to think of a EULA as anything more than a buffer against lawsuits (and a bad one at that because people can just sue around the darn thing on the notion of, "Uh! I didn't know it was there!")

Granted, I don't knock that it should be followed. Yet, from a logical standpoint it doesn't hold much merit in ANYONES mind (which is why they aren't commonly read). So agreeing to the EULA is like saying, "Yeah man, jump off of that car and do a front flip; 20 bucks is yours".

...guy jumps off, you walk off. He's sitting there with a broken leg and that's the end of the story.

...also, in context to the thread. I think claiming that Dolphin Divers are just as bad as hackers is kinda' far-fetched. You could say they are just a shallow as hackers, maybe just as malacious and childish. Yet, I wouldn't go so far as to accuse them of somthing they didn't do. Hacking and Exploiting are in two different ball clubs.

exactly. we can do as we please, but we have to accept the consequences. like hacking, we can hack, but we must accept the consequences when getting caught.

A little bit of information for you evilzucchini: I don't even own BF2. I just play the demo. I don't have any stats. I just like to "stir up controversy" as somebody put it. My real name is lil_ronnie, but I have many other names. My current name will no doubt be banned in a moment. But it has truly been a pleasure sucking you in to my dementia and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for providing me with a very entertaining day at the office!!

Agreed. However, that wasn't your point for the majority of this thread. You said it was his RIGHT do so! You even went so far as to say it was his right to play the game anyway he liked because he bought it. You are just now pretending as if you had been saying all along that he can do it if he wants to.

                        WP,

I really am not following your point at all. You seem to be arguing that because something is easily exploited, it is meaningless.

I understand that the reality of the situation is that no EULA or code is going to stop people from hacking. However, that doesn't change the fact that EA does have a EULA, has deleted people accounts, has reset stats and has done hardware bans when people have broken the rules.

Hacking is against the rules and EA can revoke the priveledge of playing this game on ranked servers from you. It is not idealistic at all.

Oh, it's fine with me. Destroy away. I'm happy to take the back seat on this one. In the end, we just (as mr pooper said) gave him an entertaining day at the office...as though he delights in being retarded. I can't hold that against him...after all it IS his right.

                            Mr my_pooper,

If you notice, it is clear that I saw right through you if you read my first post on the thread. I know you think you have won by dragging me into it, but realize two things:

First, your not the only one who needs to be entertained at the office.

Second, and more importantly, it was only when I completely destroyed your logic that you chose to reveal yourself.

                            So, in reality, who won?

and i stood by my point the whole time, it might not be right to hack but he can if he wants to(same **** as having the right to) so long as he accepts the consequences as having his account banned or whatever. and i feel it is his right to play it however he wants to just playing it the "wrong" way has its consequences. but he has every right to do so, just he'll be subject to the consequences should he get caught. same with weed as my other posts.

So far it has only be in regards to their "Ranking" system. EA hasn't targeted , "Hackers" they have targeted, "Stat-Padders". It's easy to see how someones statistics flucuate with unreasonable gains, yet it's extremely hard; if not impossible to guage when things such as "Supply Box Rain" occurs. Even though the EULA holds some reference to those actions, the reference its self is pretty idealistic and shouldn't be taken serious. Well, it "SHOULD" but wont'. So, the notion that people, "Should do what the EULA says because it says it, with no real means to enforce it if you're talented enough" is moot all together.

Oh, and you understood my point perfectly. The notion of a EULA is pointless ,it only to serve as a buffer against lawsuits.

Hacking is against the rules and EA can revoke the priveledge of playing this game on ranked servers from you. It is not idealistic at all.
I disagree completely; not so much with what the "can" do, but what I belevie is actually within' their grasp or any developers grasp in regards to enforcing their 15 long page of "lawsuit buffers". Yet, to each his own.
