Assault SF Unlock for Battlefield2

I have a simple question that I've searched the forums for, but found nothing that clears it up. I've asked it before with no replies, but I'm going to ask it again as I'm less than 5 hours away from my next unlock.

In-game, the next unlock that BF2 shows for me on Assault is the flashbang grenade. On all stat sites, it shows the F2000 as the next obtainable. In-game, there is no F2000 found, but I know it's unlockable.

If I choose the next Assault unlock, will I get the F2000 or the flashbang? I like the F2000, but the flashbang isn't worth unlocking until last, IMO. So, you can see why I would like to know this before the unlock.

All I know is that when you get the F2000, you also get I think 3 flashbangs with that kit. I'm pretty new to bf2, but I also got sf. So when I got promoted I went for the F2000. I hope this helps.

Iam pretty sure its the F2000 because the flashbangs do come with it. It showed up the same way for me to but I didnt unlock it.

Thought that this might be the case. In this case, I may unlock it next if anyone can confirm it. It's just weird for in-game BF2 to show the next unlock to be the flashbang and not the gun.

I'm thinking you may be looking in the wrong place. Unless it's that pop message you get. There's the place in BFHQ that shows you your secondary weapons and then below that is the unlockable primary weapons.

Unlocking the F2000 you will get the flashbangs with it. It is weird not to see the gun.

i personally just started using it and i love it...not as accurate but if you time your burst correctly you can always get a hit!

Ok, let me explain.

In BFHQ, when you cycle to Assault and look at the available unlocks, it shows the G3 (already unlocked for me) and the Flashbang (locked). Nowhere in BFHQ does it show anything about the F2000. Apparently, my BF2 is the only one that does this.

I'm asking because I know the F2000 is supposedly the unlock from Special Forces. If I choose the next unlock (which for me shows only the Flashbang), do I get both the F2000 and the Flashbang or is it just the Flashbang.

To sum up. I'd like to get the F2000. I don't care for the Flashbang. If I choose the unlock, I don't want to get a weapon I that does no damage as my unlock. If it does, indeed, unlock the F2000, then that's great. If it doesn't, I'm not interested.

You see. This is why I couldn't get a clear answer out of searching the forums. It's odd to think that my BFHQ is the only one showing nothing but the flashbang. All I'm asking is confirmation from someone who unlocked the 2nd unlock that it'll be the F2000.

If I need to, I'll get a screenshot, but I figured that this was just a simple question. <shrug>

Yeah, I've used the gun in Special Forces, and it is tight. I also had the opportunity to unlock it during my previous promotion, but since it only showed up as a flash bang, I passed on it. I dunno.

Well, I have all the unlocks right now, and your issue does seem strange to me. Though I probably didn't pay much attention when unlocking it. A screenshot will help out alot.

I am sure that if you have the G3 already, the F2000 will be unlocked next and this flashbang thing is a bug or a weird anomaly in the game. And even though I'm not much help, at least you're getting a *bump* out of it :)

Do you have sf? I know what your saying about the picture of the flashbang being the 2nd unlock. It shows it on mine and I think eveyone's out there. When you get your next promotion and the unlock sceen comes up, you will see the F2000 not a flashbang. I can only speak of this being true with having sf, not just plain bf2. I hope this helps

First picture shows available unlock on BFHQ for Assault.


Second picture shows how unlocks look on all other unlocks. Shown is the Support unlock for MG36, which I already have unlocked.


I'll post a screenshot upon my promotion if it doesn't show the gun. But this is how it was shown during my last promotion. And yes, I have SF (Battlefield: Special Forces). :)

That's cool. What happens when you click the arrows where it says "flashbang". Does it show the G3 and M16/203? I think AntFart has it correct, you'll get the F2000 even though this happens.

it doesn't change. I got the F2000, and it still shows the 2nd unlock as the flashbang.
