Is there a way of telling wheather Teamkills for mines is on or not.
It does'nt help my (already poor) stats, by laying a claymore, then sit in front to see if it goes off.!
Don't know of a console command that returns whether or not they're on or not, sorry. Spawn in some remote area, drop one, and dance a jig on top of it. If you live, spam away, if not, well, be careful
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe there is a separate setting for claymores and enigineer's mines for friendly fire on the server.
Best way to check claymores is to get in a vehicle and drive by it. It will detonate if FF on, but shouldnt kill you. The only way to check AT mines is to drive over the suckers and see what happens!

Correcting, the setting is sv.friendlyfirewithmines 1 or 0 for off. It does not distinguish between claymores and AT mines, which IMO is a travesty to Engy's and helps promote claymore spamming.
I'd like to see FF claymores On, and FF mines off, Or bring back destructible claymores.
It is correct and actually in the latest version of bf2cc there is a check box to turn on ff for mines...clays and mines are lumped into one batch which is fine by me cause i beleive they should both have ff on and also be destructible..too bad they wont let us choose that setting ::HINT HINT EA::
anyways I turned ff on for mines on our server and its much more fun, granted you have to be careful with mine and claymore deployment but it takes away the unfair unrealistic use of them like for example on shari where at the tv station ull find 5 snipers all laying clays because they wont hurt their teammates now risking tks with ff on they all go another class and actually fight somewhere on the map....me loves ff on

Careful with that. I've been killed countless times when driving a jeep over a claymore. It's pretty stupid but has happened lots. Very frustrating.
If you had the time you could type in sv.friendlyfirewithmines in the command menu (when you press the ~ (tilde key)) and hit tab then enter it should either display 1 or 0 (1= on 0=off).
But, there's got to be an easier way. It doesn't say in the server menu?
