which noobie clans do you play against that actually fall for this lame trick?

      Re: Clan tactics

One key thing is that when scrimming you need to work as a team and make sacrifices. If your team needs you to camp a base and defend even if you get 1 kill you need to do it. You have to be willing to force-suicide if you're needed at a back flag. Kills, deaths, and points should mean nothing in a match.

          Re: Clan tactics

          1. For ground pounding maps, diversify your squads as much as possible. Do NOT make your squad leader the medic. You want someone else to do that so they can revive the mobile spawn point.

          2. Any dedicated pilots should start their own squad and be called in for air support. The commander can always put the "MOVE" 3D map icon over an area where the pilot should circle/observe, then mark the appropriate "ATTACK" or "DEFEND" area where there is enemy activity.

          3. Get a competent commander. This may take a couple days of locked server practice to see which commanders have the knack for the role. Anyone can drop artillery, UAVs, and supplies, but the really good guys place artillery before the enemy arrives at a flag, UAVs over the enemy's swarming path, and supplies at the flag you're about to cap.

          4. Know which kits work best for you, and don't be afraid to admit which ones you suck at. Competitively speaking, it's better to play up your strengths than to gamble on your weaknesses. Give me enough cover and ammo, and I'll set C4 traps like you wouldn't believe. But if I accidentally pick up a sniper kit, you can bet that I'll run around looking for another kit.

          5. Share. It's a lost word in our society today, but share your ammo, health, and even your ride. As many threads will extoll, a solo helo pilot is only 50-60% as capable as a helo with both a pilot and gunner. Same goes for anything other than an APC or RIB (boat).

          6. Learn your maps, along with the best camping spots, choke points, rest stops to repair/refit/heal, and travel paths.

This one is easy....if your playing in a clan match....at least aginst a decent clan...and say your in a 15-15 match....Run 3 squads, one will be short...because of the commander, assign one to defend, one to attack, and one to manipulate, and damage the other team, I.E. ARTY, UAV, Satalite

Do you have a set-piece plan in place at the start, or do you have loose objective? What works for your clan?

Any help would be helpful. Who knows, maybe we can scrimmage with your clan to test things out?

The most effective strategy that most of the clans are using is known as stat padding. You can get lots of points that way, and lots of awards too. Many clans have so called "clan practises" few times a week that are closed for public, so there is your chance. Another good tactics is using the admins and the clan votes to kick anyone that you don't like, or you feel is better than you. That way the clan is happier, and the admins feel powerful compensating some other shortages. As you can see there are plenty of advantages. One disadvantage would be that someone may call you an as$hole, but it's ok, for most clans that's not really an insult.

...wow, you're doing wonders for the perception of the competitive community there. "Pubbie Nubbie"? Is that how the general population is looked upon by the competitive "elite"?

I doubt' that's the case. Yet! If it is... damn. You guys seriously need to get out more, and realise you really don't matter as much as you think you do.

I would like to restate "IF" for anyone who wants to take this the wrong way.

The reason the non-competetive people get treated like this by the competetive people is due to your own attitudes. This thread is a fine example, It started out fine with nothing being said towards the non-competetive players yet they all come in here and start attacking clan members for their "lame tatics". If you are not in a clan and playing competively then there is no reason for you to state your opinions which hold no value what so ever.

I've never had k/d ratio bellow 1, in fact it went from 1.8 down to 1.2 when I was after the knife, pistol, and the medic badges. What do you have to show, even though I don't see how is this conversation relevant to the "clan tactics" thread.

Hah....you should already have a fair idea on what their objectives will be based on the map you're playing for the match. Re-starting the map and claiming a false start is neither honourable nor fair and is the biggest asshat way to earn you more enemies than friends.

A good clan team will always have 2-3 strats per map, so doing a re-start is just dumb and lame.
