Can't play: The server has refused the connection

Anyone else having problems now? I can't seem to log onto BF2..
First I got the "The server has refused the connection" error, now it just hangs on the "Connecting to account server" screen with the BF2-logo spinning Can't even alt-tab to Windows!

Had that about an hour ago. Haven't tried aftera that.

Yeah I still can't login either...

What puzzles me is that there's currently 7135 people playing BF2. How?? Does this issue only happen to a few people? If the Gamespy servers are down, how can all these people be playing?

So typical, when I have a few hours available here at work, I can't play

I couldn't login either. But it's up again & working now. Great..
I coudln't even enter this forum, or any other sites from the US.

Didn't have any problems with foreign websites though..? Weird.

Well, the ones from Denmark on my MSN list, couldn't enter sites from US. So I'm not the only one I think. But it works now, great

Fixed it! For, me at least.

My problem was that my firewall wasn't alerting me to the fact that BF2.exe was changed, therefore it just kept blocking any connection attempts it made. All I had to do was manually allow it to bypass the wall, and it started working.
