Not tried this since BF2 was patched, but on the original version, you could lay on top of a nade and live, with about 6-7 bars of health left.

I know it sounds daft, maybe it was lag or a server config to reduce team FF - as I did it with my own nade as a test :)

Wouldn't really wanna try it now though - lol.

And btw, if I see a nade, I usually just think "Oh f**k!".

Lol SEVERITY, that would be a cool feature, I think you could/can do that in America's Army - never had the chance/desire to try it though; probably been cooked before chucked

The US Army M67 fragmentation grenade explodes on contact, or if no hard contact the fuse is secondary,so you may ccatch 1, & throw it back, but if it hits the ground you are "toast"

Do NOT strafe left or right when throwing. There is a bug that stops the nade right in front of you (read: zero travel distance). Then, it plunks at your feet and you run away with a load in your trousers.
