I was playing earlier...and I had checked my stats...I was at 1hr 08min in a heli...I am now at 1hr 23min...that equeals 15min to me...and I dont have the badge...which tells me I missed it by mere seconds!!! ARG!

Find a server with a 64 player map size but only about 15-20 players in it. That way the round should be long enough to get your badge. -

Just stay in the chopper til you get it. Don't time yourself 15 minutes exactly. The badge should show up in the round if you spend enough time. Actually try to fly it the whole round and if it's long enough, you'll get it.Comment

The helicopter ribbon's a beeotch to get, still havent got it. Definitely fly as gunner if you are going to try for it.
I finally got the air service ribbon last night on Operation Clean Sweep. I normally suck at jets, but finally did ok enough to get it. whewComment

You need 15 minutes in a whirly bird in a round. It's not combined rounds. Your best bet is to practice flying the skycow (MEC/Chiniese transport). Very few people actually use that thing, so you shouldn't have any trouble getting into one.Comment

If you're indeed talking about the badge you only need 15 minutes without any kill. You can go for the easy way. Get an almost empty map, get in a transport chopper. Fly to the edge of the map and wait. Fat chance someone will come and kill you there if the map is almost empty.
About the ribbon. Learn to use the TV missile and try teaming up with a chopper pilot from the beginning of the round. You really should be able to get it then. Helped all my friends get the ribbon as a pilot and i'm really not that good. You have to get lucky and not run into too many great pilots at the oposite side.Comment
