    BF 2 on 2 PC 4GB RAM?

OK i will ask this here, is there a way to set up BF2 so it will uses RAM(e.t.c.) from 2PC's. If anyone use 3ds max,MAya they know there is one future you can set up this app on 10-20 PC's so rendering(perfomance) will be faster,it will use all resources from 10-20 pc's.
Is there is a way to do that for games?

    (hope everyone understand )

Do you mean like a cluster? I dont think you can, and even if you could it wouldnt help your performance any, unless maybe you made a real beowulf cluster and I doubt there is support for one.

You wont gain any performance from 4 gigs of RAM anyways. The most you need for BF2 is 1.5-2 gigs.

      (cluster)- ,Yes.

It will help (to me) i have 1PC -1GB RAM another is 4GB RAM but the problem is second PC with 4GB RAM is P3 1ghz and the secon one is only have 1 gig RAM p4.
And P4 have different memory slot so i cant use memory from P3
The only way is to upgrade RAM i guess.... but i dont want
So i'm trying to find anything about (cluster) or anything like that.

BF2 doesnt even take full advantage for 2 gigs of RAM, so even 3 or four isnt going to do anything.

Clusters are for servers. It would be big news for me if any version of windows supported clusters.

In short your just going to have to buy more RAM :hmm: At the worst, you could buy 2 256mb sticks if youve got 2 ram slots open. That should help you a bit.

The only way that having more than 2 GB of RAM in BF2 helps is if you are doing more than one thing at once.. that is.. playing music, on msn, defraging your HDD and rendering somthing in 3D Max.. etc etc.. all at the same time playing BF2.. now maybe its me, but i dont know many people that are the multi-tallented, let alone people that actually do that.

i believe on 64 bit os's 4 gigs will improve performance since xp is made to run on 2 or some ****. i do know 64 bit os's take advantage of more memory than 32.

i put 4gbs in this and saw little or none of a performance boost!

3dsmax is programmed to use multiprocessing time from multiple computers...BF2 is not. So...No, you cannot do that with BF2.

Since the game loads up into memory, why cluster it. You would still have the delay from the cluster to your desktop computer and then to your video. Though you could gain speed in cpu processing, you would lose speed in transferring the info back to your computer and then to the video card.

Windows does do clustering and they have for a long time. The first was Windows Commerce Center, every hear of that before? If not, it was cause it cost a LLLOOOOTTT of money and only came with specific hardware from MS certified providers.

                  About the memory.

If you have 4GB of ram, the most you can do is turn off you paging file since you do not need to cache to the hard drive(s). This will save time by not using the hard drives for mem caching, but thats about it.

I learn something new everyday. Thanks for informing me :) I shouldnt have said any windows version, I meant more along the lines for the mainstream desktop operating system. I dont know too much about their server line anyhow, now I know.

how does a clutser work? as in how are the comps connected? if by networking the latency between comps wouldnt really improve fps in a game right?
