I gotta disagree with you here. Kids use programs to hack. Hence the term Script Kiddie's. The real hackers use security exploits and loopholes to gain access. I've seen script kiddies do some dumb ****, but the end result us the same. They let everyone know about it. If a real hacker had violated your space you may never know it unless he had a conscience and let you know of the vulnerability. Just my .02 cents.

Make sure all of your ftp is protected use web protect or something, they can gain acess to areas of your ftp a few ways and with out protecting your folders it is really easy to do.

Make sure anything thats is linked on your site like downloads does not show the link in the browser and put all public downloads into one folder and make every thing else passworded, all the tools you need to help protect your site should be on the control pannel what you get from the hosting company.

Dont let that scum bother you, do what I did get hold of the certified ethical hacker course its really interesting the things you will find out the ec have created this course to train security profesionals who work to counter master hackers know as black hats the good guys are called white hats and the ones who work for good and bad are called grey hats anyway check it out. The guys who got your site are really the lowest on the ladder of skills as far as I can tell they only have one guy who has very limited talent.

the first stage of hacking is trying to find out as much about the target as possible I will send you a pm with the name of a program wich can help you, useing the program will be your first steps at justice.

These people made a futile but lightly succesful attempt at hacking our site. Is there any way we can get them banned from any TWL/CAL/Whatever competitions in future. The community has no room for these pathetic a febal creatures.

They even were stupid enough to send this e-mail... aparently they thing having an IQ below 6 is a great way to recruit.
