Vanishing AT mines

Whats going on ??? with the AT mines .... i lay 3 or 4 mines covering a

a possible good area of high traffic or a tactical placement to hold back

the armour i then get killed , i respawn guess what ! i watch as my AT

mines dissapear into thin air , made worse now that the once no go area

for Armour and the like is now being used as a friggin Highway

this is not the same for clays so why mines ....

Before you ask NO i do not relay mines these dissapear before that , now

this will not happen 100% of the time but at least 75%.

So anyone else faced this ...

Yeh happend to me too .. but i just figured i lost count of how many mines i'd laid as apparently you can have only 6 at any one time without the first one disappearing, to stop mine spam i suppose.

Hmmm... You must be fairly new to this game. When you die, all your mines/claymores/C-4 "disappear" after a set amount of time. It's just the way the game was made. Imagine if they didn't, and lots of people played engineer. They each could lay down 5 (That's the total amount you can put down before they get replaced by subsequent mines) mines, and if they never disappeared, you could literally cover the entire battlefield with them, and render armor or vehicles useless.

i thought u were on about the true mine disapearing bug, not where you die and have to replace your explosives within 15seconds of you spawning (AND YES ITS THE SAME FOR CLAYMORES!!!)

mines do sometimes disapear when laying them on the water ramps on karkand, they roll down and fall through where the floor meets the ramp.

slightly off topic but if u have C4 & u stick them on the barriers (near to where the US drive down) on Karkland they dissapear but still blowup when triggered lol

My thoughts,

Your mines/explosives should remain as long as you respawn as the same class. The limit of how many you can lay down makes sense and should remain.

Last week i was playing and some guy tossed at-mines like grenades. First time i saw it i figure its stupid lag and then later on after i get switched to his team i see him doing it again. I asked him what was up with that and he said its magic and left the game :nerr:
