Urgent EA please read

I am warning everyone I can about a spam email I was sent informing me that I have to down load waiting from EA. The message can from a email with the title Urgent EA DOWNLOAD.

Silly old me open the email up and downloaded it only took a few seconds and yes you guest it I had loads of spyware totalling to 190 and 30 viruses which had been detected by the Norton. The bad thing about this type of email it looks to see what you have on your computer sending out the information kills off any anti virus programme, and spyware you have installed and also disables you from turn it off. So I resorted to plugging the plug out of the internet. The thing was the logo and even the design of the picture was very really guess they taken it from EA site.

Now I have to get my local engineer to take a look costing me as some of the viruses are now in registry and also spyware. Sick as a parrot but that will teach me a lesson. I am using a friends computer hence the reason why I can send you this urgent message. Anyway, I hope you all don't mind me informing you all of this problem I will also inform EA about this spam. So please be careful delete anything with the email title Urgent EA DOWNLOAD

I wish I could but everytime I try to the print screen locked up. Anyway, I will yake what you said on board the next time it happens. lol

thanks for the info.. but havent EA ALWAYS sent these messages after you have logged in to the game? or is it just me? I have gotten all my info from EA, when i start the game and log on, to go online in bf2

did you get rid of the virus/spyware yet?

Most of them have now gone. The spyware which is left is in the registry and the same for the viruses nearly all Trojans. Really am cross with my mistake when I downloaded it.

a lad asked I should have taken a screen shot. I am going back to try but don't hold your breathe as the my computer is still affected with the spyware and viruses, I'll see what I can do.

Yes you are quite right EA messages are placed in the game when you logged in. But, the thing was I was not logged into the game and wanting to see what emails I had. I have learnt a value mistake today never open anything up which is a download for attachment on email. :cry:

This is why you never open email attachments from untrusted sources. 98% of all viruses/spyware is transfered by email.

lol i cant believe there are idiots in this game that cant manage to reformat thier own systems yet.

If you have half a brain you can reformat and be back up and running in an hour

just a get reg cleaner 90% of the time this will solve the problem.
if it dosnt remove some just CTRL+ALT+DEL then close the process's that its using then go in C:/WINDOW'S/SYSTEM32 an manualy remove them.
then rerun the reg cleaner again to make sure there removed,
also you could get some programs called norton or spy ware doctor these are quite good programs to have.
