Im new to the game. ( bought it yesterday )... but played the demo for quite a long time when it was available. Sorry for the nub questions, but i checked for a search feature..and couldnt see any. Id appreciate any advice or help you can provide. Im an ex CS CAL player, and really enjoyed my first few hours on this game. There were just a few things i noticed, had problems with, or need a question answered. Thanks in advance guys.. This community seems really good so far.
Help:
1) How do i turn off the in-game advice or help: Whenever i play a new class, or do something new.. the game feels it has to give me a nice vocal description of what to do. For a new player .. it would be great.. but while in the middle of a fire fight... i dont wanna hear the dam game tell me "If you plant a c4 charge etc etc etc.". Is there a way to turn it off.. or do i just have to do everything in game ONCE and it automatically remembers what it told me and doesnt say it again.?
2) Button changing: I noticed that if a button is bound to an action.. you cant re-write that button until you change the original binding. VERY ANNOYING. Im trying to bind my mouse button 4-5 on my mouse.. but they say they are bound already. I checked everywhere.. and i cant see nothing. Is there a way for my to change it... or do i just gotta mess around with the buttons changing everything till i get what i want? ( ie. i used , . / buttons to change some of the minor bindings.. )
3) When i played the games demo a while back, when you hit the voice com button to say roger that, thank you etc.. there was a second screen if i remember right. But now when i click on mine.. there isnt a second screen or am i doing something wrong? I remember there being more options the last time i played. I didnt rebind the key ( its still Q ), and the button for second voice com or something is bound ( i think ) T... but nothing happens. Even when i hit Q, then T. Am i doing something wrong.. or is there no second screen??
Advice:
1) I just got my second rank... which means tonight ill most likely hit my 3rd rank and recieve my first weapon unlock. I enjoy playing the spec ops, sniper classes and really only take another class if it fits the immediate situation. ( ie medic, assualt, engineer etc ). As i play.. im usually stuck on the foreign team so when i play sniper, the gun is an auto rifle that doesnt hit for jack compared to the U.S. version. Overall.. i can still use it .. but i dont like the fact i need 3-4 shots to kill someone. The spec ops class seems to be good except for the chinesse version. The scope on the gun sucks and i cant get any distance aiming on it due to the large nature of the scope. Now ive heard great guns to unlock are the medics gun. What should i do? Get the really good unlock guns so when i play those classes i use the best gun possible, or do i go for the unlocks on the classes i play the most? In your opinion.. what are the good unlocks to get and why??
