Modding Quesition about 2142

Since 2142 and BF2 have the same game engine, Is there any point in making mods for that version?

Well, there will be a few little enhancements, but yeah, it's the same engine. Hopefully it will be easy for mod teams to port BF2 mods to 2142. Maybe even develop for 2 and 2142 concurrently. :)

I guess it just depends on the mod team and what they decide to do.

Maybe a WW2 Setting with mechs and robots and stuff :)
